Oct. 19, 2018 -- WSU students can get free tickets to all home men's and women's basketball games.

Oct. 18, 2018 -- Dennis Livesay, dean of the Graduate School, associate vice president for Research and Technology Transfer, and professor of chemistry at Wichita State University, has been named the new dean of WSU's College of Engineering, effective Jan. 1.

Oct. 17, 2018 -- Wichita State University's Shocker Rowing team will soon have a new home in the downtown River Vista development.

Oct. 16, 2018 -- Wichita State professor David McDonald and graduate assistant Alisha Prince are trying to change the world, one mouth at a time. The team is teaming up with Ocean Spray to research synergistic properties contained in cranberries and other natural extracts that will, in theory, stop the decay of teeth and provide an alternative to traditional oral health care.

Oct. 10, 2018 - WSU Tech's Dental Assistant program has moved to the Advanced Education in General Dentistry building at Wichita State.

Oct. 1, 2018 -- As reported by the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR), KBOR's defined full time equivalent (FTE) for WSU is 11,285, an increase of 1.6 percent over last fall's 11,109. For KBOR reporting purposes, full time is considered to be 15 hours for undergraduates and 12 hours for graduate students.

Sept. 28, 2018 -- Cynthia Matson's time at Wichita State has shaped the student she is today. The business major is vice president of the Barton International Group, a student run consulting firm through the Barton School of Business at WSU.

Sept. 19, 2018 -- Carli McCloud, a sophomore majoring in exercise science, was told she would never be able to cheer again after being diagnosed with a degenerative bone disorder. She's currently a member of the WSU Spirit Squad.

At Wichita State, that means researching and analyzing two areas - the next generation of medium-sized helicopters and the next generation of tactical unmanned aerosystems for the Army.

Wichita State's Professional Edge Program gives students the tools to lead and participate in meetings, choose a mentor and identify their work-skill.

Aug. 24, 2018 -- Butler Community College business administration students who graduate with an associate degree are now able to seamlessly transfer into Wichita State University's W. Frank Barton School of Business.
